Practicing in Difficult Times

SATURDAY, JANUARY 11, 2020, 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Riverview Retreat Center at Camp Pecometh
401 Jack Elliot Way, Centreville, MD

In these challenging times, the practices of mindfulness, loving-kindness and compassion can help us calm and steady our minds, open our hearts, and build resilience to engage and respond wisely, kindly and appropriately in our families, communities and our world.  In this daylong retreat we will practice the Buddha’s teachings on mindfulness, compassion and loving-kindness in meditation and daily life.

The day will include meditation instruction, periods of sitting, walking and eating meditation, and practices of self-acceptance that can help us meet our experience with greater kindness and compassion.

To register, complete and mail the registration form to Ruth Davis, 11496 Still Pond Road, Worton MD 21678 with a $10.00 check, payable to IMC-Chestertown. For further information call 410-778-1746, or e-mail info@imc-chestertown.org.
